Sensex Climbs Over 600 Points Among The World's Best, Nifty Trades Over 15,700


The Indian equity index on Friday started in the green, expanding its benefits for the second consecutive session among the positive indicators from global markets. Asian stocks have risen today, following a nightly rise on Wall Street.
Trends in the Nifty Futures on Singapore Exchange (SGX Nifty) showed a high start for home indexes.

The 30-stake BSE Sensex rose by 604 points or 1.16 percent to 52,870 initially, while the broad NSE Nifty increased 175 points or 1.12 percent to trade at 15,732.

Medium and small stocks traded on a solid note today as the Nifty Midcap 100 rose 0.93 percent and the low rate rose 1.26 percent.

All 15 sector gloves - compiled by the National Stock Exchange - traded in green. The sub-indexes Nifty Bank and Nifty FMCG performed much better than the NSE platform with an increase of 1.55 percent and 1.17 percent, respectively.

At the start of a particular stock, IndusInd Bank became Nifty's highest profit as the stock increased 3.10 percent to R809.25. Hindustan Unilever, Tata Consumer Products, Bharti Airtel and ICICI Bank were also among the beneficiaries.

The overall market range was positive as 1,794 shares were growing while 361 were down on the BSE.

In 30 BSE index index, IndusInd Bank, HUL, Airtel, ICICI Bank, Reliance Industries, Ultratech Cement, Tata Steel, SBI, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Dr Reddy's, HDFC Bank and Bajaj Finance were some of the major beneficiaries.

Also, the shares of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), the world's largest insurance company and the largest domestic investor, have risen 0.56 percent to trade at ₹ 668.60.
