Sick Musharraf of Pakistan Is About to Return Home From Dubai: Report

Former Pakistani military leader Pevez Musharraf, who has been living in Dubai since 2016, is expected to return to Pakistan soon.
According to sources, Musharraf is expected to return to Pakistan by air ambulance and his treatment will continue in the country after the health of the former dictator last week deteriorated, reports Geo News.

Sources also confirmed that Mushrafraf's family is on the board about the decision. His family decided to move him to Pakistan.

The former president has been in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for the past six years receiving medical treatment.

Following Mushrafraf's illness, the Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N), a key player in the coalition government, and military leadership say the former president should be brought to the country if he wants to return, reports Geo News.

PML-N official Nawaz Sharif last week called on the federal government to facilitate Musharraf if he wished to return to Pakistan, adding that he had no "personal hostility or conflict" with the former dictator.

"I have no personal enmity or quarrel with Persez Musharraf. I do not want anyone to suffer for the suffering I have to endure for the sake of my loved ones," the three-year-old prime minister said on Twitter.

The Director-General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Babar Iftikhar also said the military leadership believed that the former military officer should return to Pakistan.

"In such a situation the institution and the leadership are of the opinion that Servez Musharraf should not return," said DG ISPR in an interview with an independent television station.

Earlier, Musharraf voiced his desire to spend the rest of his life in his home country, local media reported.

The Express Tribune reported that the ailing former president wanted to return to Pakistan soon.

Musharraf was hospitalized three weeks ago for health problems.
