Maharashtra police on Saturday added parts of an anti-magic law and superstition to two people, including a suspect, accused of killing nine members of a family of two brothers in Sangli district, an official said on Saturday.
The bodies were found in the homes of two brothers, Manik Vanmore and Popat Vanmore, on June 20 in Maishal, Miraj, 380 kilometers from Mumbai.

After killing members of the Popat family, the suspects went to Manik's residence and poisoned the rest of the family members, after which Bagwan and Surawase put suicide books in the pockets of all nine deceased, the official said.
