Child Actor of 'Chhello Show' Rahul Koli Passes Away; ‘We’ll See His Movie on Release Day’, Says His Father

Rahul Koli, the child actor of Gujarati film 'Chhello Show', died of leukemia on 2 October. Rahul was only 15 years old. His family came to know about this disease after the shooting of 'Chhello Show' (Last Show). Now everyone is shocked by his death just a few days before the release of the film.

Chhello Show happens to be India’s official entry for the 95th Academy Awards this year and Rahul Koli played a vital role in the film.

Our family is torn apart: Rahul's father said, 'On Sunday, October 2, he had breakfast, after that he was getting fever again and again. Our family is torn apart. But we will see their film 'Chhello Show' together on the release day of October 14.'

Prayer meet held in Jamnagar: Rahul's family had organized a prayer meet for him on Monday, October 10 in his home village Hapa near Jamnagar. Rahul’s work was highly appreciated at the film festival. 

The shooting of film was completed in 2020: Chhello Show is a semi-autobiography of the film's director and writer Pan Nalin. The shooting of the film was completed in March 2020, immediately after which there was a nationwide lockdown. The post-production work of the film was completed during the Corona pandemic.

What is the story of Chhello Show: Chhelo Show (Last Film Show) is the story of Samay, a young village boy who falls in love with films. He reaches the projection room with the help of a cinema projector technician to watch a film and watches several films. His life changes completely while watching movies. The single screen cinema culture has been shown well in the film.
