Dry Weather In The Plains After Monsoon Retreat; Rain Over Hills Of North India


New Delhi: Northwest India has been witnessing dry weather in view of the retreat of Monsoon. However, hills are continuing with some rainfall activities in view of some feeble Western disturbance travelling across the western Himalayas. Moreover, these showers are usual for this time due to the approach into the winter season.

According to Skymet Weather, these showers are expected to be seen between October 18 and 20 but will be confined to the hills of North India and the plains will not see any rainy weather.

Good amount of sunshine will be seen: Winds will slow down, becoming easterly in nature over the plains. Good amount of sunshine will be seen. In view of the Western Disturbance, the fall in minimums will get arrested for now and may even rise by a degree. 

After its passage, a drop by 2-3 degrees in the minimums may be seen resulting in some nip in the air.

Another change in the wind pattern will be seen due to a fresh Low Pressure area over the Bay of Bengal, but that will be seen next week or so.
