Madhya Pradesh: Board Pattern Exam In 5th And 8th; Private School Children Will Have To Buy New Books

Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh government has ordered to conduct the fifth and eighth exams in private schools on the board pattern. This has affected 10 lakh children of the state studying in private schools and the school operators are asking them to purchase board based books courses. They have to buy the course again. 

244 rupees have to be spent on buying the class fifth course and 542 rupees for buying the class eighth course. Due to this, the burden of parents in the state has increased by more than 40 crores.

The new academic session started from 1st April. The government provided books to the children of government schools. Children in private schools had to buy books themselves. The parents purchased the books ordered by the private schools and the studies started in April. 

After this, in September, the government issued an order to conduct the fifth and eighth examinations on the board pattern. Due to this, the school operators are asking the children for the NCERT books prescribed by the board. In private schools, 5 lakh 33 thousand 294 children are registered in the fifth class. 5 lakh 46 children are registered in VIII.

Private schools will have to teach from prescribed books: KC Sharma, DEO said that till now many private schools were teaching on their own. Since now in all the non-government schools, the examination of class 5th and 8th will be of board pattern from this session. Due to this, the school operators are asking children to buy NCERT books.
