Ghaziabad (UP): A case of a Nirbhaya like gang-rape with a nurse reported two days back in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, turned out to be false. Meerut range IG Praveen Kumar told on Thursday – the woman was not gang-raped. The woman's friend Azad had cooked up this whole story to grab a property worth Rs 53 lakh. The police have arrested Azad, Gaurav and Afzal.
What is the gang rape case: Actually, a 36-year-old woman from Delhi (who was said to be a rape victim) is a nurse in a big hospital. She had come to her brother's birthday party on the evening of 16 October in Nandgram area of Ghaziabad. The brother said that after having dinner, he left his sister on Ashram Road and went back. After that the sister went missing.
On October 18, the woman was found unconscious on the roadside in Nandgram area. Now she is admitted in GTB Hospital, Delhi.
In the case, the woman's brother had lodged an FIR against Dinu, Shahrukh, Javed, Dhola and Aurangzeb alias Zaheer of Delhi. The five were accused of gang-rape, putting a rod in the private part and throwing her in a sack with her hands and feet tied. They were taken into custody by the police.
Police made shocking disclosure: IG Praveen Kumar of Meerut range and SSP Muniraj Ji held a press conference in the police line. IG told- The victim woman is having a dispute with the accused named in the gang-rape over a property worth Rs 53 lakh in Shahdara, Delhi. In the year 2021, Azad had taken this property from a woman named Samina.
Azad gave its power of attorney to Deepak Joshi. Deepak gave its power of attorney in February-2022 to the alleged victim woman. There is a dispute regarding the possession of the property and this case is going on in Karkardooma Court, Delhi.
There was a plan to grab the property as soon as the other party went to jail: The IG said that the police investigation revealed that Azad is a friend of the victim. He is a resident of Kabirnagar located in Welcome police station area in Delhi. Azad prepared the script of the alleged gang rape to find a solution to this property dispute.
Azad took help of Gaurav, resident Badalpur, and Afzal, resident Kaila Bhatta, Ghaziabad, in this work. The police have arrested all three. The story was cooked up so that if the other side goes to jail for gang rape, then the woman can grab the property.
Woman voluntarily got into the car: Police detained Azad. When his mobile was checked, the whole story came to the fore. Evidence was found in the mobile that Azad messaged many people to show the incident as gang rape and also paid through Paytm.
The IG said that the woman was found voluntarily lying on the spot and voluntarily stayed at a fixed place for two days. She was neither kidnapped nor gang raped. It was a total conspiracy. The vehicle in which she was taken from the spot belongs to Gaurav.
The complete route of the vehicle has been traced through the GPS tracker. Azad has confessed during interrogation that he had switched off his mobile just before the incident and was present near the spot.
There was no rod in the private part, there was a wire like a tongue cleaner: According to Rajat Jamba, spokesperson of the hospital where the victim is admitted – the victim has been sexually assaulted. She is stable now. There are external injuries, but we could not find any internal injuries.
The item found from the private part has been sent to the Investigation Officer for examination. On the other hand, the Ghaziabad police say that the object found in the private part was not a rod, but a six-inch long iron wire, which is in U shape. This wire is like a tongue cleaner.
