Efforts To Boost Exchange Between Madhya Pradesh And Manipur In Tourism And Other Areas

Bhopal: MP Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that efforts will be made to boost mutual exchange between Madhya Pradesh and Manipur in tourism, cultural and other fields. 

Chouhan said Manipur is a beautiful and one of the best states. He was addressing the state festival Sangai Mahotsav in Imphal, Manipur as the chief guest.

He said this state is the crown jewel of India, abounding in beautiful forests, water and public wealth. There is also a lot of similarity between Madhya Pradesh and Manipur. 

CM Chouhan said that in the coming ten years, Manipur will be the biggest tourism destination of India. Union Tourism Minister G Kishan Reddy also joined the inauguration of Sangai festival which started simultaneously from 14 places of Manipur.

CM Chouhan said that the beauty of Manipur is overwhelming. He also invited the residents of Manipur to visit Madhya Pradesh for tourism. 

Chief Minister of Manipur N Biren Singh gave the welcome address. Apprising about the traditional painting of Manipur and other artistic items, he also presented gifts to Chief Minister Shri Chouhan.

Dances by artists from different states of the country including folk artists from Manipur and folk dances from Madhya Pradesh were also presented in the festival.
