India Vs. New Zealand 2nd ODI: What Hardik Pandya Said After India’s Comprehensive Win

Mount Maunganui (New Zealand): India has defeated New Zealand convincingly in the second T20I at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui to take the lead in the three-match T20I series. The first matvh of the series was washed out.
Indian bowlers bowled beautifully right from the start of their defence of 192 runs Bhuvneshwar Kumar swung the new ball brilliantly and the spinners claimed wickets in the middle overs. Chahal claimed the wickets of dangerous Glenn Philips and Jimmy Neesham.
Sundar had a difficult outing after coming back from the injury. Despite taking the wicket of Devon Conway the off-spinner conceded 24 runs in his two overs. Deepak Hooda didn’t contribute with the bat but picked up four for 10 runs in his spell. He picked three wickets in the 19th over to close the innings out.
Earlier Suryakumar Yadav’s unbeaten 111(51 balls) guided India to put on 191 for 6. Suryakumar Yadav completed his second fifty in just 17 balls. Tim Southee (3/34) bagged his second International hat-trick in the last over.

Can’t get any better than this: Hardik Pandya

Indian captain Hardik Pandya said after India’s win, “Can’t get any better than this. Everyone contributed in the win but it was surely a special innings by Surya. We would have taken a score of 170-175. Bowlers did well and it was about being aggressive in the mindset.
Hardik said one doesn’t take a wicket with every ball, but being aggressive with the ball is important. The conditions were very wet, so credit to the bowlers.
