Madhya Pradesh: Nitin Gadkari expresses regret over poor quality road being built in state

Jabalpur: Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari on Monday expressed regret over the poor quality of road being built in Madhya Pradesh.
Gadkari said he was not happy with the quality of two-lane road being built from Mandla to Jabalpur. Gadkari had reached Jabalpur on Monday to lay the foundation stone and inaugurate the 543 km long 13 road projects costing Rs 5315 crore in Jabalpur and Mandla.
While addressing the main programme organized at Police Line Ground, he said that he was not satisfied with the work of 63 km Mandla-Jabalpur two-lane road being constructed at a cost of 400 crores. The people are also suffering due to poor quality road. 

He expressed dissatisfaction with the quality of highway construction and apologized for the inconvenience caused to the people of Mandla and surrounding areas.
Gadkari further said that the concerned officers have been directed to repair the old work of the highway and suspend the work of the road, as well as issue a new tender soon and make the road better.
