Wellington: Rain washed out New Zealand-India T-20 in Wellington. The outfield was soaked as only the pitch and the surrounding areas are under the covers.

After the T20 World Cup in Australia, the Indian team was going to play the first match of the three T20 series against New Zealand on Friday. Toss could not be done at the scheduled time (11:30 am) due to rain. It is raining at this time also.

The Indian selectors have bet on the youth in this tour. The command of the team is with Hardik Pandya. They will have the challenge of defeating New Zealand at home. The last time he was made the captain of the team was in the tour of Ireland This time the team is facing the captaincy of Kane Williamson.
