Video Leak Case: AAP Leader Satyendar Jain Reaches Court, Hearing Today


New Delhi: A Delhi court will hear on Monday a petition filed in connection with the video leak of AAP leader Satyendar Jain from Tihar Jail.

Satyendar Jain has claimed in his petition that the Enforcement Directorate released this clip in contempt of the court's order and for this reason action should be taken against it for contempt.

Special Judge Vikas Dhul had asked the agency to present its stand in the matter last Saturday.

ED had accused Jain of getting special facilities inside jail: Earlier, during the hearing of Jain's bail plea, the Enforcement Directorate had accused him of getting special facilities inside the jail.

Court had asked ED not to leak video: After this, the court asked the Enforcement Directorate and Jain's legal team not to leak the video and the  material related to the affidavit. In this regard, the court had also taken written statements from both the parties.

Along with this, the court had rejected the bail plea of ​​Satyendar Jain on 17th November.

Video of Tihar Jail got leaked: However, even after this the video of Tihar Jail got leaked due to which Aam Aadmi Party is facing political attacks from BJP and Congress.

In such a situation, Jain and his team want action against the Enforcement Directorate under contempt.

The Enforcement Directorate had arrested Satyendar Jain in a money laundering case in the year 2017 on the basis of a CBI FIR registered in a corruption case.

There is an allegation against him of money laundering through four companies linked to him.
