AAP Gets Status Of National Party Despite Losing In Gujarat


New Delhi: AAP has got the status of a national party even after being defeated in the Gujarat assembly elections. 

In the trends so far, the Aam Aadmi Party has won 4 out of 182 seats in the state. Talking about vote share, AAP got 12.89 per cent votes in Gujarat. 

However, Aam Aadmi Party's CM candidate Isudan Gadhvi lost from Khambhalia assembly seat in Gujarat. Here BJP candidate Iyer Mulubhai Hardasbhai Bera has won. 

AAP national convenor and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal spoke on the results in Gujarat. The AAP made a debut in the state winning 4 seats and leading in one seat. 

Kejriwal said, "Today, the AAP has become a national party. Results of the Gujarat elections have come and the party has become a national party. Ten years ago AAP was a small party. Now, after 10 years it has governments in two states and has become a national party."

The AAP however did not win a single seat in Himachal Pradesh.
