Bharat Jodo Yatra in Rajasthan: What Did Sachin Pilot Say On Differences With Ashok Gehlot

Jaipur: Senior Congress leader Sachin Pilot has rejected the notion that the recent developments in Rajasthan will affect the Bharat Jodo Yatra, saying that the state unit of the party is fully united and at present the focus is on promoting the yatra in the state. It will be made more successful than other states.

Hitting back at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) jibe at his differences with Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Pilot said all this is being said by a party which has at least a dozen contenders for the chief minister's post.

BJP has not played role of a good opposition

He said, 'There is a lot of factionalism in the BJP. They have not even been able to play the role of a good opposition in Rajasthan in the last four years.

When asked about concerns over Congress's infighting in Rajasthan affecting the 'Bharat Jodo Yatra', Pilot said, "As far as Rahul Gandhi's 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' is concerned, there is consensus in the party regarding this. There is solidarity the party and we are working together to make the yatra successful.

Pilot reacted to the traitor remark

Pilot said,' There is no question of any person- A, B or C in this. As a party, we have worked very hard to form the government and Rahul ji's visit will strengthen our efforts towards the elections due within the next 12 months. Asked whether Gehlot's statement calling him a 'traitor' could cast a shadow over the yatra, Pilot said, "I think the most important thing at this point of time is that the yatra should be completed successfully in Rajasthan."
