Bihar Boat Mishap: Seven Missing After Boat Capsizes In Ganga In Patna

Patna: At least seven people are reported missing after a boat carrying them capsized in the river Ganga River near Patna in Bihar on Friday.
Patna district magistrate Chandrashekhar Singh said that the mishap occurred at around 2.30 pm near Mahveer Tola ghat when the boat carrying 14 people overturned midway.
Singh said the boat capsized and sank in the middle of the river Ganga. While seven people managed to swim to safety and reach the bank of the river, seven others are missing.
A search operation was launched by the state disaster relief force to trace the seven missing persons, he said, adding that the missing persons could not be traced.
Singh said personnel of the National Disaster Response Force (NBDRF) will be engaged to trace the missing persons.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
