Covid-19 Updates: Several States Announce Precautionary Measures


New Delhi: In view of the rising Covid-19 cases worldwide, several states are taking precautionary measures. Chief Ministers of the respective states are holding meetings and issuing directives to the officials.

Genome sequencing of every positive case in UP

The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has also issued instructions regarding Corona. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held an important meeting with Team 9 regarding Corona. Team 9 has been set up by Yogi to deal with the Covid-19 and is headed by Medical Education Minister and Health Minister Jai Pratap Singh. 

Yogi said that people should not go to crowded places without masks. He instructed all the hospitals to keep an eye on the new variant of Corona. Along with this, instructions have also been given to conduct genome sequencing of each positive case.

Alert again in MP; 7 active cases in state

The Madhya Pradesh government has also issued a Covid alert. CMHOs of all the districts of the state have been instructed to conduct surveillance samples and genome testing of samples of positive patients to control the spread of Covid infection.

There are currently a total of 7 active patients of Corona in the state, who are receiving treatment in home isolation in Bhopal and Khandwa. One active patient is in Indore. 

According to the information received from the Integrated Disease Surveillance Program (IDSP) branch of the Directorate of Health, no new corona patient has been admitted in a single hospital in the state for the last two weeks.

Take booster dose: CM Dhami

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held a high-level meeting with the officials of the Health Department regarding Corona in Dehradun. In this meeting, the prevention of Covid-19 in the state was discussed. The CM directed that everyone in the state should follow the Covid protocol. 

He said, 'Our full focus is that precautions will be taken and awareness will be increased. We request everyone to take a booster dose. We will take action here also as per the orders of the Government of India.'

Alert issued in hospitals of Bihar

After the release of the guidelines of the Union Health Ministry, the Bihar government also came into alert mode. The Chief Minister of the state, Nitish Kumar, has said that the preparations have been completed, while the Additional Secretary of the Health Department has asked the district hospitals to remain alert. 

Taking another major decision by the Health Department, plans are being made to conduct random tests in Haat Bazaars, bus stands and malls in other areas of Bihar including the capital Patna.
