Bengaluru: The Karnataka High Court has stayed the FIR against Rahul Gandhi, Jairam Ramesh and Supriya Shrinate in the KGF song copyright infringement case. The complaint has been lodged against the Congress leaders by MRT Music Company, which holds the rights of the Hindi version of 'KGF Chapter 2'.
The Bengaluru-based company said in a statement that Rahul has used the KGF-2 song - Samundar mein lehar uthi hai ziddi ziddi hai toofan, chattane bhi kanp rahi hain, ziddi ziddi hai toofan... in the promotion of Bharat Jodo Yatra.
The company said it had paid a hefty amount to the makers to get the rights for the soundtrack of KGF-2 in Hindi. Congress party used this soundtrack in their campaign video without our permission to further their political agenda, said the company
