Lakhimpur Kheri: The Tikunia incident in Lakhimpur Kheri is once again in the news. The trial of the case is to begin from December 16. But before this the main witness of the case Prabhjot Singh and his younger brother Sarvjit Singh have been attacked.
The attack took place when they had come to attend a mundan ceremony. During this, Sarvjit got a serious head injury in the sword attack. He has been admitted to the hospital.
At the same time, the injured Prabhjot has accused the murderous attack took place on the behest of Ashish Mishra, son of Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Ajay Mishra Teni and the main accused in the Tikunia incident.
The witness's brother alleges that Ashish Mishra's man attacked him. Prabhjot Singh, the main witness of the Lakhimpur Kheri Tikunia incident, says that on Saturday he went to the mundan of his friend Anuj Gupta's son with his brother.
Vikas Chawla was also there. Vikas fought with them ans so they withdrew from there. But Vikas attacked Prabhjot and his brother with a sword. He hit his brother twice on the head with a sword. Chawla fled from the spot after the attack.
Case not registered in Kotwali
Prabhjot went to the police station with the injured brother, but the case was not registered. Prabhjot said that Vikas Chawla is a special man of Ashish Mishra. He does recovery works for him. Prabhjot told that Vikas could not attack him due to having a gunner with him. But his brother was attacked.
Ashish Mishra charged with murder
The main accused in the Tikunia violence case is Ashish Mishra, the son of Union minister Teni. 14 accused including Ashish Mishra are to be tried for murder. Lakhimpur's ADJ Court has framed charges on 14 people including Ajay Mishra on the basis of charge-sheet filed 5 days back. Ashish has been charged with murder. He will be tried for murder. In this case, the trial is to start from December 16.
Presently Prabhjot has been admitted to hospital. According to doctors, he has sustained serious injuries but there is no danger. In his statement to the police, Prabhjot alleged that the attack was carried out by close associates of Union Home Minister Ajay Mishra Teni and his son Ashish Mishra. However, the police do not agree with his statement.
Case of old rivalry: SP
The police said that the matter is being investigated. Lakhimpur SP Sanjeev Suman said that this is a case of old rivalry between the two groups. It has nothing to do with the Union Minister and his son. At present, a case has been registered in Tikuniya police station and investigation has been started. The accused will be arrested soon.
Charges against Ashish Mishra
Charges have been framed against him under various sections of the IPC as well as under the Motor Vehicle Act. Now this matter will be heard from December 16. According to this, the witnesses identified in the case have to be called in the court and give their testimony.
What is the case?
Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya held a program in Lakhimpur on 3 October 2021 during the Kisan Andolan. Farmers wanted to oppose them. Meanwhile, violence also took place with these farmers in Tikunia police station area. It is alleged that Ashish Mishra, the son of Union Home Minister Ajay Mishra Teni, carried out this violence. In this, the farmers were crushed by the Thar Jeep. Four farmers were killed in this incident. Later, when the violence broke out, four more people were killed.
