Madhya Pradesh: Case Registered Against Congress Leader Raja Pateria For His Remark Against PM Modi

Panna: A case was registered against Congress leader and former minister Raja Pateria in Panna district of Madhya Pradesh today for making an objectionable and provocative statement about Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Case has been registered against Pateria, a resident of Damoh, at Powai police station in Panna, under sections 451, 504 and 506 and many other sections.

Pateria allegedly made a controversial remark against Prime Minister Narendra Modi asking people to be prepared to "kill Modi" to save the Constitution and the future of minorities and Dalits.

In a video that surfaced on social media on Monday morning, Pateria can be heard telling Congress workers, "Be ready to kill Modi. Kill in the sense of defeating him."

”.....Modi will end elections. Modi will divide on the basis of religion, caste and language. The future of Dalits, tribals and minorities is in danger. If you want to save the Constitution, then be ready to kill Modi. Kill in the sense of defeating him,” Pateria told a meeting of Congress workers at Pawai town in Panna district.

Complainant Sanjay Kumar Khare has said in his complaint that Mr. Pateria tried to increase disharmony by using objectionable language against PM Narendra Modi in a meeting of Congress workers of Panna district on Sunday, due to which there is a possibility of disturbing of public peace.

Earlier in the morning, Home Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra had given instructions to register a case against him.

Reality of 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' participants is coming to fore: Shivraj

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said today that the reality of those pretending to be part of the 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' is coming to the fore and the law will take its own course after Madhya Pradesh Congress leader Raja Pateria made an objectionable statement on Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Chouhan said that the reality of those who created the pretense of Bharat Jodo Yatra is now coming to the fore. Prime Minister Narendra Modi lives in the hearts of the people. Congress people are not able to compete with him in the ground, that's why one of their leaders is talking about killing the Prime Minister.

He said that this is the culmination of rancor. The true feelings of the Congress are being revealed by such statements. This will not be tolerated. After the case is registered, now the law will take its course.
