Betul: The rescue operation to save an eight-year-old boy Tanmay who fell into an open borewell in Mandvi under Aathner police station area of Betul district of Madhya Pradesh reached its final stage on Friday afternoon.
Police sources said that after digging about 50 feet of the borewell, the work of digging about ten feet of tunnel started from Thursday afternoon.
Three more feet of digging is yet to be done to reach Tanmay. Since Tuesday evening, the relatives of Tanmay have camped near the bore. Due to no response from Tanmay, everyone's concern has increased.
Collector Amanveer Singh Bains told reporters that the rescue team is about three feet away from Tanmay. After taking Tanmay out of the borewell, the team of three doctors present on the spot will examine Tanmay. Only after this it will be decided whether to take Tanmay to the government hospital, Aathner or the district hospital.
With the rescue operation being carried out to get Tanmay in the final stage, the heartbeat of the people has increased. Everyone is praying to God for Tanmay to come out safely.
