Lucknow: In Uttar Pradesh, strict action is going on against former MLA Mukhtar Ansari. Action is also going on against his family and close ones. In this sequence, a major action was also taken on Mukhtar Ansari's brother Afzal Ansari on Saturday. Ghazipur police attached two plots located in Dalibagh of Hazratganj police station area of Lucknow, whose value is said to be in crores.
Following the order of Ghazipur district DM, the police reached Lucknow on Saturday morning and carried out the action of attachment. This property is in Dali Bagh, a very posh locality of Lucknow. Its price is being estimated at 8 crores.
A few months back, the bungalow in the name of Mukhtar Ansari's wife was attached by the Ghazipur police. Now there is a vacant plot next to the same bungalow, the cost of which is said to be eight crores. That property has been attached.
Mukhtar was convicted a day earlier: Mukhtar Ansari was convicted a day earlier in five cases registered under the Gangster Act, sentenced to 10 years and fined Rs 5 lakh. At present, Mukhtar Ansari is in ED's custody remand.
