Ahmedabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi's mother Heeraben Modi has been admitted to the Civil Hospital in Gandhinagar on Wednesday.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself has also reached the hospital in Ahmedabad to see the mother. He is accompanied by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and some state ministers. People have gathered outside the UN Mehta Hospital in Ahmedabad.
Earlier on Tuesday late night, Heeraben Modi was admitted to UN Mehta Hospital in Ahmedabad after her health suddenly deteriorated. A team of doctors from the hospital is continuously monitoring her health. The hospital issued a health bulletin on Wednesday afternoon saying that her health is now stable.
Heeraben Modi has celebrated her100th birthday in June itself. Prime Minister Modi also came to meet her at that time.

According to family members, PM's mother was admitted for a routine health check-up and then sent home.
Heeraben still remains very active. She celebrated her birthday in the month of June this year. On this occasion, PM Modi took her blessings by washing her feet.
PM had visited his mother recently: The Prime Minister, who has often spoken of his bond with his mother, visited her recently when he was in Gujarat to campaign for the recently held Assembly polls. Visuals of the Prime Minister chatting and having tea with Heeraben Modi had then emerged on social media.
Heeraben had set an example by taking vaccine: Heeraben Modi took the vaccine during the Corona period when people were afraid to take it. Seeing this step of Heeraben, many people in the society came forward to get the vaccine. Not only this, she also goes to the polling station and votes in the elections.

Paresh Vora from the hospital said she had age related illness. Her ECG, blood pressure measurement and X-ray tests were conducted.
PM Modi's younger brother was injured in a car accident on Tuesday: Earlier on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's younger brother Prahlad Modi was injured in a car accident. Prahlad Modi along with his family has been admitted to JSS hospital for treatment, however, it is said that he has suffered minor injuries and is safe at the moment.
