Last Rites of Sharad Yadav Performed With State Honours

 

Bhopal: Last Rites of Sharad Yadav were performed with full state honours in his native village in Madhya Pradesh on Saturday. Former Union Minister and former National President of JDU (Janata Dal United) Sharad Yadav merged with Panchtatva. Last rites were performed in his native village Ankhmau, Makhan Nagar (Babai), Narmadapuram. His daughter Subhashini and son Shantanu lit the pyre. Earlier, the police gave a guard of honour. 

In the afternoon, mortal remains were brought to Raja Bhoj Airport Bhopal through a chartered flight from Delhi. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, BJP State President VD Sharma, former Chief Minister Digvijaya Singh paid tribute. Mortal remains reached his native village Ankhmau from Bhopal airport at 3 pm. Digvijaya Singh also came to Ankhmau.  

 

Late Yadav fought against injustice: CM 

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan laid a wreath at the mortal remains and paid his tributes to the former Union Minister, the pioneer of socialist ideas, at the old airport in Bhopal. In a discussion with media representatives at the old airport, Chouhan said that LateYadav was the son of Madhya Pradesh, he left suddenly, he was my neighbour. Since childhood he was a fierce, aggressive person who fought against injustice.Yadav dedicated his life for the welfare of the weaker sections of the society, especially the backward classes.
