Madhya Pradesh: Youth Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Begins In Indore; CM Invites NRIs To Implement Their Innovations In MP


Indore: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan warmly welcomed the guests who came to participate in the 17th Pravasi Bhartiya Divas and said that the people of Indore have decked up the entire city with rangoli and electric decorations to welcome you. Indore is keen to extend hospitality to you.

CM Chouhan was addressing the inaugural session of Youth Pravasi Bharatiya Divas organized in Indore today. Along with Chouhan, Union External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar, Union Youth and Sports Minister  Anurag Singh Thakur, Australian Parliamentarian Mascarenhas inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp at the Brilliant Convention Centre, Indore.

CM Chouhan said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has earned a special place in the world through activities in the fields of cleanliness, Make in India, Digital India, Skill India. The building of self-reliant India is going on with knowledge power and economic power. 

 1500 startups have begun in Indore alone

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Madhya Pradesh is continuously moving forward with a growth rate of 19.76%. We are going to introduce a youth policy very soon. Global Skill Park is being established for the development of entrepreneurship along with education. More than 1500 startups have begun in Indore alone. 

Overseas NRIs invited to implement their innovations 

Inviting the overseas Indian youth to Madhya Pradesh for the implementation of their innovation, Chief Minister said that if you have any such innovation which you are willing to implement, then the Madhya Pradesh government will always extend all possible cooperation.

Union Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Anurag Singh Thakur said we have joined the world's 5 largest economies by leaving behind those who ruled us for 200 years. Indian youths have made India the third largest startup nation in the world. Union Minister Thakur said that young NRIs are working hard to fulfill their dreams but India resides in their heart. He invited the youth to innovate and implement their ideas and innovations in India.

Union External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar said that the statement made by Prime Minister Shri Modi “Hamara to khoon ka rishta hai – passport ka nahi” (Ours is the relation of blood, not of passport), this thought gave impetus to the idea of Pravasi Bhartiya Sammelan. 

Sushri Zaneta Mascarenhas, Member of Parliament from Australia, referring to Indore's cuisine and interesting places and specialties of various states of the country, said that India is continuously progressing in the field of industry and technology. Sushri Zaneta spoke about the need to act with sensitivity in the field of climate change.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that he will plant saplings along with the guests attending the Pravasi Bhartiya Sammelan. CM Chouhan urged the guests visiting Indore to visit Indore's Sarafa, Chhappan Dukaan and have a darshan of Shri Mahakal Mahalok and Omkareshwar. CM Shri Chouhan also invited the guests to visit the tourist places of Madhya Pradesh.
