ODI Series Against Sri Lanka: Can Virat Kohli Break Tendulkar's Record; What He said About His Performance


Thiruvanthapuram: Virat Kohli, who scored two back-to-back hundreds in the ODI series against Sri Lanka, has said that he is not keen to make any record or achieve a milestone but wants to keep playing good cricket.Virat Kohli scored 283 runs in three ODIs against Sri Lanka at an average of 141.5. He scored two consecutive centuries in the series. 

Virat scored an unbeaten 166 in the third match of the series played on Sunday. He scored 113 runs in the first match played in Guwahati.

Kohli was adjudged Man of the Series for this performance. With the help of two centuries scored in the series, the number of ODI centuries of Kohli has increased to 46.

Sachin Tendulkar has the most 49 centuries in ODIs.

He can break Sachin's record

Virat Kohli has scored three centuries in the last four ODIs and many cricket experts are saying that he can break Sachin Tendulkar's record this year as he gas to score four more centuries in ODI to break the record.
However, on Sunday, Kohli said that he is not eyeing the 'milestone'.
Virat Kohli said, “I am feeling good since I have returned after the break.”
Virat Kohli had taken a break for a few days before the Asia Cup played last year and has been performing brilliantly ever since he returned to the team.

'I am happy with the way I batted today'

Virat Kohli said, “There is no eagerness in me to achieve the record. I want to continue what I am doing.
He said, "I am happy with the way I batted today. I managed to play good cricket."
Virat Kohli was also adjudged man of the match for his unbeaten 166 in Sunday's match.
Team India also got the benefit of Virat Kohli's excellent form. The Indian team managed to win the ODI series 3-0 against Sri Lanka.
India won by 317 runs in the last ODI played on Sunday. This is the biggest ODI win in terms of run difference.
