New Delhi: The hills of North India are all set to see a second round of rain and snow, which will start from Saturday.
Rain and snow were seen in the first round wherein good amounts of rainfall and snow were seen, which came with its own set of difficulties in terms of travel as well.
Skymet Weather said that with this spell of rain snow, we can expect road closures, along with some landslides, and flight delays. In fact, after the snow, there are chances of avalanches.
Rain and snow show will begin from 28 Jan
According to Skymet, a fresh Western Disturbance is all set to approach the Western Himalayas on January 28. Thus, rain and snow show will begin on January 28th.
Moreover, the rain and snow will peak on the 29th, reduce on 30th, and clearance is expected on January 31st.
All three hill states will be affected
This particular system is expected to be slightly more intense and will affect all three states of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand along with Ladakh as well.
Pilgrim regions to see heavy snowfall
In fact, snow may be seen in Gulmarg, Pahalgam, Manali, Shimla and even Mussoorie. The pilgrim regions of Kedarnath, Badrinath, Hemkund and Vaishno Devi Temple may also see some heavy snowfall.
