Raipur: Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi have also reached Raipur to take part in the 85th National Convention of Congress.
It has been decided in the meeting of the Steering Committee that there will be no election of the CWC and the Congress President has been unanimously given the right to nominate the members. Amendment in the constitution of the Congress party will be considered. The plenary session is being held from February 24 to 26 at Rajyotsav Sthal in Nava Raipur.
Warm welcome accorded
Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi reached Raipur by a special plane at around 3 pm. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot, Congress general secretary K C Venugopal, state Congress chief Mohan Markam and other senior leaders of the party were present at the airport to welcome them.
Sonia to address on Feb 25, Rahul on Feb 26
Tomorrow, on February 25, at 11.30 am, Sonia Gandhi will address the convention. Rahul Gandhi will address the convention in the first session on 26th.
