Nagpur: Giving credit to the bowlers for their win in the first of the four-Test series against Australia, India captain Rohit Sharma said he will always remember his century that helped the team win.
Rohit said on Saturday, “It was important for us to start well. We know it is important to play a series like this. I am happy that I could put up a performance that would help the team. It was a special hundred indeed.
‘I had to miss some tests’
He said “I had to miss some tests sometimes due to covid and sometimes due to injury. When you play for a long time, such things can happen, but I have had injuries in the past so I know how to come back. Glad to be back on the team.
‘We should not forget fast bowlers’
The Indian captain said, “We have quality in our spin bowling but we should not forget the fast bowlers as well. They know how to take advantage of those situations. I am happy that all our batsmen did well, scored 400 runs and got enough lead after which the spinners played an important role.
