Deoria: Dugdheshwar Nath Temple of Rudrapur, about twenty kilometers from Deoria in Uttar Pradesh, is famous as Chhoti Kashi.
Although devotees keep coming here throughout the year, but during Mahashivratri, Adhikamas and Shravan month, devotees come from every corner of the country to offer prayers.
Temple priest Ramashankar Bharti told that the Shivling here has got the same mythological importance as Mahakaleshwar Ujjain. This is his Upalinga. After Lord Trimbakeshwar, the Shivling of Baba Bhole Nath in Rudrapur is about 15 feet below the ground level.

The Shivling here is considered to be the Upalinga of the Jyotirlinga of Ujjain, which is made of Neesak stone. Dozens of villages including Rudrapur, Gauri, Dhatura, Baudi are named after Lord Shiva in the area and Bholenath's Shivling is there in Saptakoshiya.

Eminent people of the country have performed Jalabhishek in the temple premises, including Indira Gandhi, VP Singh, Rajiv Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Yogi Adityanath, Motilal Vora, Kalraj Mishra. A fair is also held here on the occasion of Mahashivaratri. Apart from nearby areas, people from far and wide decorate the shops. People from Bihar also come here on Shivratri.
