UP Budget: Promises related to youth, women, free education to daughters, boost to health, medical education in Yogi govt's budget

Lucknow: The budget of Uttar Pradesh has been presented. This budget is coming at a time when investment proposals worth Rs 33.50 lakh crore have come in UP's pocket.

Along with promises related to youth and women, money will be given in the budget for free education to daughters in schools, universities in every division, medical colleges in every district.

Smartphone-tablets will be given to students

Smartphone-tablet will be given to students by spending 3600 crores. Promise of jobs in tourism-education sectors 

At the same time, the changing picture of infrastructure and from expressways to energy projects will also remain in focus. This budget will be of more than Rs 7 lakh crore.

Under Uttar Pradesh Startup Policy-2020, startups are being promoted in the fields of agriculture, medicine and health, energy, khadi, education, tourism, transport etc. 50 incubators and 7200 startups are working in the state. 

Under the policy, operations have been started in the field of Artificial Intelligence at PGI Lucknow, IIT Kanpur and Noida campus.

Rs 4032 crore for pension to destitute women

32 lakh 62 thousand destitute women are being given pension under the maintenance grant scheme for destitute widows. Rs 4032 crore is proposed in its budget.

Kanya Sumangala Yojana

 A budget of Rs 1050 crore was approved for Kanya Sumangala Yojana, Rs 600 crore was approved for marriage scheme. Along with this, 3 women PAC battalions will also be formed.

The state's contribution to the country's GDP is more than 8%. In the year 2021-2022, a growth of 16.8 percent has been registered in the state's gross state domestic product, which was more than the country's growth rate.

Medical college in every district

A medical college will be established in every district. Medical colleges have been set up in 45 districts. Medical colleges are being prepared in 14 districts. An arrangement of Rs 2491 crore 39 lakh has been made for this. Medical colleges are being established in 16 districts on PPP model.

 12,631 cr for National Rural Health Mission

12,631 crore is proposed in the National Rural Health Mission. 1,655 crore is proposed in the Pradhan Mantri Aatmanirbhar Swasth Bharat Yojana.

1,547 crore is proposed in the Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission scheme. 400 crores are proposed in Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana.

Boost to health facilities

407 crore will be spent for the conversion of Rural Sub Health Center and PHC to Health and Wellness Center. A budget arrangement of Rs 320 crore is proposed for Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana.

250 crores have been kept for Ayushman Bharat Mukhya Mantri Jan Arogya Abhiyan. 100 crore is proposed for the purchase of equipment in community health centers. 15 crores are proposed for primary health centers.
