Congress Will Make Punishment To Rahul Gandhi A Big Issue, Leaders Will Also Meet Murmu, Party Will Hit Road Today

New Delhi: Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi has been sentenced to two years by a Surat court in a defamation case. Rahul has been granted bail immediately, but the Congress is preparing to make this matter a big political issue with legal maneuvers. 

Congress will present Rahul Gandhi as the biggest leader fighting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP by uniting non-NDA parties as well. So that an atmosphere can be created against the BJP across the country before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Congress will also trying to unite the opposition.

Congress will go among the public on this issue

It has been decided to bring together the opposition parties and go among the public. Not only this, the Congress will hit the road against the punishment to Rahul Gandhi and meet President Droupadi Murmu along with other parties. 

The main opposition party announced a mass movement soon after the court's decision, saying it would fight the case not only legally but also politically. Congress is going to hold a big protest in Delhi and other states regarding this. 

According to party general secretary Jairam Ramesh, the Congress, on behalf of itself and several other opposition parties, has also sought an appointment with President Droupadi Murmu.

AAP also supports Rahul

Significantly, the Aam Aadmi Party also came out in support of Rahul Gandhi. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal alleged that a conspiracy was being hatched to "eliminate" non-BJP leaders and parties by prosecuting them. 

"A conspiracy is being hatched to eliminate non-BJP leaders and parties by prosecuting them. We have differences with the Congress, but it is not right to implicate Rahul Gandhi in a defamation case like this.

"It is the job of the public and the opposition to ask questions. We respect the court but disagree with the decision," Kejriwal said in a tweet.

Politics is in full swing after Rahul's conviction. Congress workers are protesting on the road. Amidst all these things, Congress has changed the profile photo on its official social media account. Many Congress leaders and workers have also put this photo on their profiles. 

Congress has shared a new profile photo from its official account on social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. This photo was taken during Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo visit. It is written: Daro Mat (Do not be afraid) on the photo.

Rahul Gandhi has been sentenced to two years in the defamation case against Rahul Gandhi, which had been going on for 4 years. WhileRahul will appeal against this decision in the High Court, his party will try to give it a political colour.
