Jaipur: After the change of state president in BJP, there is a possibility of many more changes in the organization in Rajasthan. The appointment of the new state president CP Joshi is being seen as the beginning of changes. In future, the state in-charge and the general secretary of the organization can also be changed.
The central leadership has given several messages by appointing CP Joshi. The Central leadership's main aim behind Joshi's appointment is to end the factionalism in the Rajasthan BJP. It has also tried to appease the Brahmin community in view of upcoming elections. Currently there is no Brahmin face in a prominent role in State BJP.
Poonia greeted Joshi
After Joshi's appointment Satish Poonia tweeted that hearty congratulations to the newly nominated State President of Bharatiya Janata Party Rajasthan, CP Joshi ji and hearty congratulations to National President Honorable JP Nadda. We are all determined that together we will make Rajasthan Congress-free in 2023 and form a majority government of the BJP.
Gulabchand Kataria and Poonia had supported Joshi's appointment
BJP sources say that the role of Assam Governor Gulabchand Kataria and Satish Poonia himself have played key roles in making CP Joshi the president. When the names of the new president were discussed, Joshi's name was put forward by Kataria and Poonia in front of the central leadership. Joshi was looking after the work of BJP's state executive as vice-president.
Joshi was already in Amit Shah's good books at the central level for having a key role in the Parliamentary Committee on Cooperatives. Joshi is an MP from Chittorgarh.
Tussle between Poonia, Raje
In the BJP, there was a constant tussle between former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and state president Satish Poonia. In January, when Poonia was retained as the state president even after his term ended, the distance between the two started increasing. Recently, the feud between the two had increased a lot regarding Vasundhara Raje's birthday programme in Salasar.
Kirodi Lal Meena was also not happy with Poonia
For the last few days, Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Kirodi Lal Meena looked unhappy with Poonia. Dr. Kirori Lal, who was agitating in the matter of paper leak, had even accused Poonia of not cooperating with him in the agitation.
Challenges Before Joshi
CP Joshi's first biggest challenge will be to take along all the factions of the party and maintain their acceptability. In such a situation, it is believed that a good mix of senior and new generation will be kept in the team of the organization. Dissatisfied leaders will also be dealt with through this.
Generally every president makes his own team in the organization. After the arrival of CP Joshi, there will definitely be some changes from the state executive to the districts.
Appointments at organization level to be made soon
The state president will appoint the team of the organization. Assembly elections are to be held after 8 months and then Lok Sabha elections only after five months, in such a situation, the work of appointments at the organization level is expected to be done soon.
Further changes are likely to happen from the top level to the district and block levels. Due to the election year, these changes can be finalized soon.
After the change of the State President, now the team of the organization will also be formed afresh. In the election year, BJP will enter the fray with the new team. There may be an attempt to help all the groups in this.
