Land For Job Scam: ED Raids Abu Dojana, Other Close Aides Of Lalu Yadav

Patna: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) today raided the premises of former railway minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) president Lalu Prasad Yadav's close aides in connection with the Railway Land For Job Scam.

Official sources said here on Friday that the ED teams are conducting raids at around 15 locations in Delhi, Mumbai, Noida and Patna of former MLA Abu Dojana as well as other close aides of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav. 

Abu Dojana Is Very Close To Lalu

Raids have been conducted by ED in Patna on Friday. The ED team reached the house of former MLA Abu Dojana in Phulwarsharif to conduct a raid. Abu Dojana is considered very close to RJD supremo Lalu Yadav. 

Abu Dojana has been an MLA from Sursand in Sitamarhi. At the same time, his name has come to the fore in the controversy related to a mall being built in Patna. The mall has allegedly been linked to the Lalu family. On behalf of the BJP, allegations have been continuously leveled against the Lalu family regarding that mall.

The ED team has also reached the Delhi residence of three daughters of Shri Lalu Prasad Yadav, Hema, Ragini and Chanda and Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Tejashwi Prasad Yadav.

CBI has registered FIR against 16, including Lalu, his wife and their two daughters

Significantly, when Lalu Prasad Yadav was the Railway Minister between 2004 and 2009, during this time he was accused of giving jobs to some ineligible people in the Railways in lieu of land. The CBI is probing the matter and has registered an FIR against 16 people, including LaluYadav, his wife Rabri Devi and their two daughters. 

The CBI has also submitted the charge sheet against 14 of these people. In this case, the court has issued summons to Lalu Prasad Yadav, his wife Rabri Devi and daughter Misa Bharti to appear in the court on March 14.

CBI had interrogated Lalu Prasad Yadav's wife Rabri Devi at her official residence on March 06, even before appearing in the court. In this case, the CBI had given here a notice for questioning and this questioning was to be done at the bureau office first, but later, giving relief to her, the CBI team got ready for questioning at her home.

After this, on March 07, Mr. Lalu Prasad Yadav and his elder daughter Misa Bharti were also interrogated by the CBI team at their residence in Delhi.
