Rise In H3N2 Virus Cases, 2 Die, Spurt In cases in Rajasthan; Corona Cases Also Rise

New Delhi: A large number of people are coming in the grip of viral fever. There has also been an increase in the patients of Coronavirus. Cases of viral fever H3N2 have also increased.

There is news of death of one person each in Karnataka and Haryana due to H3N2 virus. More than 90 cases of H3N2 have been registered across the country.

More children and the elderly are coming in the grip of H3N2 virus, they are taking 10 to 12 days to recover. 7% children even have to be admitted to ICU when their condition worsens.

Effect similar to corona virus

The virus belongs to the flu category, but its effect is similar to corona virus. That is, it is damaging the lungs with fever. .

Former director of AIIMS, Dr. Randeep Guleria had recently appealed people to be careful with H3N2 influenza. He said that it spreads like Corona. To avoid this, wear a mask, follow social distancing and wash your hands frequently. Elderly and people already suffering from any disease may have more problems than this.

The cases of H3N2 Virus are increasing rapidly in Rajasthan. Dr. Puneet Saxena, Senior Professor, Department of General Medicine, SMS Medical College, Jaipur said that three out of four patients in the OPD here are coming with complaints of high fever and cough. 

Most of the cases are of Upper Respiratory Infection (URI), Adenovirus, Para influenza virus apart from H3N2. These viruses become active with the change in weather and are spreading rapidly. Fever usually lasts for 3-4 days, but in some cases the fever is not getting cured even in 6-7 days. A condition like pneumonia is developing in some patients although in most cases the symptoms are not severe..

Actice Corona cases cross 3 thousand mark

At the same time, after 67 days, active cases of corona virus have increased to more than 3 thousand in the country. This figure had reached 707 in January. At the same time, today, on March 10, 2023, there are 3,294 total active cases of Corona. A total of 324 cases have increased in three days. 117 cases have increased in the last 24 hours. 

In the last 24 hours, the maximum number of cases have been reported in Maharashtra. Maharashtra saw highest increase in corona cases. 

In the last 24 hours, 40 new corona patients have been found in Maharashtra. Apart from this, 27 cases have been found in Telangana, 24 cases in Gujarat and 16 new cases in Tamil Nadu.

Half of all active Corona cases in Kerala

Of the total 3,294 active Corona patients in India, almost half of the 1466 patients are from Kerala.

In the case of active patients of Corona virus, Karnataka is at number two and Maharashtra at number three. There are 454 total corona patients in Karnataka and 419 in Maharashtra.
