Shivpuri: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will release 3 tigers in Madhav National Park and interact with Tiger Mitras on Friday.
On March 10, CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan along with Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia will release the tigers in the National Park. Five tigers will be brought here from different national parks of the state. However, three big cats will be released in the first batch. Among them are two female and one male tiger.
Three tigers will arrive on March 10. One each big cat is to be brought from Panna Tiger Reserve, Bandhavgarh and Satpura. Both the female tigers will be brought from Bandhavgarh and Panna Tiger Reserve and the male tiger from Satpura Tiger Reserve, Hoshangabad.
Park offers awe-inspiring beauty of nature and wildlife
The Madhav National Park, located in the Shivpuri district, is one of the oldest parks in Madhya Pradesh. Being a part of the upper Vindhyan hills, this park is very rich in biodiversity and holds the uniqueness of having a forest and lake ecosystems.
The park is expanded in an area of 354 km2 and offers an awe-inspiring beauty of nature and wildlife. Madhav National Park is a perfect blend of natural beauty, glorious history, and architectural wonders.
CM Chouhan said that there are ample possibilities to encourage tourism activities in Shivpuri, including Madhav National Park. The park has a rich history of naturally existing tigers. Due to the increase in tourism activities in the area following rehabilitation of tigers, employment opportunities will also be created.
