New Delhi: Several political leaders and celebrities, including senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, attended the wedding reception hosted by Actor Swara Bhasker and her politician husband Fahad Ahmad in Delhi.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Rahul Gandhi, Shashi Tharoor and Jaya Bachchan were among other celebrities who attended the reception.
Swara Bhaskar had got the court marriage registered in January this year. Some time ago, both of them had a court marriage with great fanfare and announced their marriage. Now both are tying the knot in a traditional way in Delhi.
Taking to Instagram, Swara shared a video in which Rahul Gandhi was also seen at the celebrations. The video has been doing rounds on social media.
The video showed Rahul Gandhi standing with Swara, her parents, and Fahad. Swara was wearing a pink and golden lehenga, while her husband was seen in a cream-coloured sherwani and white pyjama. On the other hand, Rahul wore a white kurta and pyjama. In the clip, Swara's mother was seen speaking to Rahul while he smiled.
It's not the first time that Rahul and Swara have met. Swara had accompanied him during his Bharat Jodo Yatra in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, last year.
