New Delhi: Corona cases have started increasing again in the country. More than three thousand new cases have been reported in the last 24 hours and with this the total number of infected persons has crossed 13 thousand.
There has been a 40 percent jump in new cases in 24 hours. This is the highest in nearly six months, according to the Union health ministry.
Active cases highest in 5 months
At the same time, active cases have increased to 11903, which is the highest in the last five months. Earlier on November 12, the active case was 11084. The daily positivity rate has also increased to 1.51%.
The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said here on Thursday that 3016 new people have been infected with Covid during the last 24 hours in the country.
With this, the number of Covid infected has increased to 13,509.
According to the ministry, in the last 24 hours, 1396 people have recovered from Covid infection. The recovery rate is 98.78 percent. In the same period, 1,10,522 Covid infection tests have been done.
During the last 24 hours, 15,784 Covid vaccines have been administered. With this, more than 220.65 crore Covid vaccines have been administered in the country.
Spurt in cases in Delhi; govt to hold meeting
The Delhi government will hold a meeting on the Covid situation on Thursday amid an increase in Covid-19 cases. The national capital saw a rise in Covid-19 cases on Wednesday and also the positivity rate jumped to 13.89 per cent, according to data shared by the Delhi health department.
Delhi has witnessed an increase in the number of fresh Covid cases over the last few days amid a sharp rise in the figure of H3N2 influenza cases in the country.
