Ram Navami 2023: Grand And Colourful Programs Being Organized In Ayodhya; Bhajans Echoing In Thousands Of Temples

Ayodhya: Ram Navami, the birth anniversary of Lord Rama is being celebrated today across the country. This day is celebrated in order to honor the birth of Lord Vishnu's incarnation, Lord Rama.

Ram Navami, marks the end of the nine-day Chaitra-Navratri celebrations, which is celebrated in the Hindu month of Chaitra.

Ayodhya is decked up for the birth of Lord Ram. Preparations are on for a grand Ram Janmotsav on the occasion of Ram Navami 2023) in Ayodhya. 

Today this year many grand and colorful programs are being organized.

Lord Rama Appeared At 12 Noon

 Lord Rama appeared on Thursday at 12 noon on Ram Navami. Meanwhile, auspicious songs started echoing in more than 10,000 temples including Kanak Bhawan, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi. Balloons were burst at Kanak Bhawan. Flowers were showered. The entire temple including the Janmabhoomi Darbar has been decorated with 50 quintals of flowers.


Ramlala is decked up in yellow clothes, gold crown

The first pictures of Ramlala on Ram Navami have come out. In this, Ramlala is dressed in yellow clothes, gold crown and necklace. This is the Ram Navami in the temporary Ram temple. 

Next year i.e. before Ram Navami of 2024, Ramlala will sit in the new temple. Shriram's temple is being built with Rs 1800 crore.

Ramayana Conclave

This year, on the occasion of Ram Navami, the attraction here is the Ramayana Conclave. It is being organized by the Department of Culture and Tourism at Ram Katha Park on 30 and 31 March. It is being coordinated by the Ayodhya Research Institute. 

According to Commissioner Gaurav Dayal, in the Ramayana Conclave organized on the occasion of Ram Janmotsav, renowned artists from abroad and the country will give their presentations on Ram Katha on both the days. 

Raghubira folk singing by Malini Awasthi, dance dramas by Geax Group Indonesia and Apsara Group Singapore and bhajan presentation by Bhajan Samrat Anup Jalota will be the centers of main attraction.

Temporary Ram Lalla temple attractively decorated

Dr. Anil Mishra, a member of the Ram Mandir Trust, said that this year Ram Navami is being celebrated with full grandeur in the Janmabhoomi temple as well. The temporary Ram Lalla temple is being decorated like a flower bungalow. Rangoli has been made. One lakh devotees who visit the temple will get special fruit offerings.

Cultural programs are also being organized for two days. The special event of Ram Janmotsav is being organized at Kanak Bhawan temple like every year. On the date of Navami, at 12 o'clock in the day, the live telecast of Lord Ram's appearance festival is being done on Doordarshan.


Decorated with 50 quintals of flowers

The entire temple including the Janmabhoomi Darbar has been decorated with 50 quintals of flowers. Green leaves for decoration are sourced from Assam-Odisha. Marigold flowers have been sourced from Kolkata while orchids have been sourced from Canada. 

Bhajan-kirtan is going on since morning in 10,000 temples

Apart from Janmabhoomi, bhajan-kirtan is going on since morning in 10,000 temples of Ramnagari including Kanak Bhawan, Shri Ramvallabhakunj, Laxman Fort and Hanumat Niwas. Here the echo of Sohar will be heard with the appearance of the Lord.


Facility of aerial view from helicopter

For the first time on the occasion of Ram Navami, the State Tourism Development Corporation Limited and Heritage Aviation have provided the service of aerial view from helicopter. It started on Wednesday. For which a heli pad site has been earmarked near the Saryu Guest House from where devotees and tourists will be able to have an aerial view. 

Darshan period of Ram Lalla increased

On the occasion of Ram Navami, the darshan period of Ram Lalla has been increased by half an hour in both the shifts. Now devotees are having darshan of Ram Lalla for 11 hours. On Ram Janmotsav, the darshan of Ram Lalla is being held from 6:30 am to 11:30 am and from 2 pm to 7:30 pm.
