After Sri Lanka's defeat in the first Test at the hands of New Zealand, Team India has reached the final of the WTC i.e. World Test Championship.
Now the Sri Lankan team will not be able to equal India in terms of points. New Zealand is already out of the race for final.
India will play the title match against Australia in June. New Zealand defeated Sri Lanka by two wickets in an important match on Monday. After this the way for Team India was cleared. Australia topped the WTC tournament table. At the same time, India has confirmed the place at number two.
Team India in WTC final for seconnd time
Team India has made it to the final of the World Test Championship for the second time in a row. This is the second season of the championship. The Indian team had managed to make it to the finals in the first season as well.
Final in Oval from 7 June
The final match of the World Test Championship will be held at the Oval Cricket Ground in London from 7 to 11 June. ICC has kept one day reserve for the match.
India had earlier played the final against New Zealand in 2021. Then the Kiwi team defeated India by 8 wickets in Southampton.
