Nitish changed the rule

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is engaged in uniting the opposition. His main contest is with the BJP. In such a situation, he needs powerful veteran leaders. According to media reports, possibly for this reason, the jail rules were amended to get Anand Mohan Singh out of jail.

In the amendment made on April 10, that section has been removed which prevents the release of the convict serving jail in the case of murder of a government official even despite good conduct. The Home Department of Bihar has issued a notification informing about amendment in Rule 481 (1) A of the Bihar Jail Rules, 2012.
