Madhya Pradesh Assembly Elections- 2023: Digvijaya Sets Out On Malwa Victory Mission, Focus On Seats That Party Lost, Will He Succeed In Convincing Dissidents?

Before the assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, former CM Digvijaya Singh is making election strategy with Congress workers in different areas. He is working to activate the inactive workers on the seats that the party had lost.

In fact, Digvijaya is holding a meeting in the state on the instructions of the State Congress President to brighten the party's electoral prospects in Madhya Pradesh. The estrangement of Congress leaders and disgruntled leaders and workers are being discussed in the meetings. Digvijaya Singh has so far visited 29 assembly constituencies. Now Singh's eyes are on Malwa region. He is on a tour of Malwa. Will churn here with party workers till 30 April.

Mandal, sector and workers meeting

Digvijaya Singh will attend the meetings of Mandal, Sector and workers of Congress in Dhar, Ratlam, Mandsaur and Neemuch districts. In fact, in the 2018 assembly election results, the Congress got 18 seats and the BJP had to be content with 19 seats. But in March 2020, the political developments changed and Tulsi Silavat from Sanwer, Manoj Chaudhary from Hatpipalya, Hardeep Singh Dung from Suwasra and Rajvardhan Singh Dattigaon from Badnawar left Congress along with Jyotiraditya Scindia and joined BJP.

After this, by-elections were held in 2020, in which all of them won on BJP ticket and then reached the assembly. A big crisis is also arising for BJP here. Here also ticket distribution between new vs old workers will not be easy.

Keeping dissidents together and stopping infighting a big challenge

It will be a big challenge for the Congress party to keep the dissidents with it and stop the infighting. Young candidates have started claiming almost every seat of the Congress. In such a situation, Digvijaya Singh has taken the lead here. He will be on a four-day tour. During this, Digvijaya Singh will also hold one to one discussion with the office bearers. Its list has also been prepared.

During the tour, not only elected members of urban bodies, elected members of district and Janpad panchayats, but also youth Congress, NSUI, Mahila Congress, Seva Dal, Kisan Congress and IT Cell will interact with office bearers, workers and senior leaders of all cells.
