Rajasthan: Sachin Pilot Confronts Party Again Over Corruption, Cold war Between Gehlot, Pilot Camps Intensifies

JAIPUR: In the election year, the cold war between the Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot and former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot camps within the Congress has intensified. Sachin Pilot is adamant on his stand on the issue of action against the corruption of BJP rule. According to party sources, in front of the leaders associated with the high command, Pilot has again questioned CM Ashok Gehlot for not taking action against the corruption of the BJP rule.

Pilot is now openly confronting the party. He had observed a day-long fast on the inaction of the Ashok Gehlot government on the alleged corruption cases of previous Vasundhara Raje rule. Now he has said that he has not done anything wrong by raising the issue of corruption during the previous  government.

We all raise the issue of BJP's corruption

He said, "Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has raised the issue of the corruption that is happening in the BJP rule. We all raise the issue of BJP's corruption. I have not done anything wrong. Different types of mafia flourished in the Rajasthan BJP government.  I went on a fast. It's been two weeks, still no action."

Pilot said, "We had gone to the public about the corruption that took place in the Vasundhara government between 2013 and 2018. Now there is not much time left for the elections, the action that has not been taken so far should be taken."

He said "I have never said of collusion (between Congress and BJP), then why is this talk of lemon and milk. I opposed the corruption that happened during the BJP government's tenure, how can it be against the Congress party.

There are many allegations against our ministers and MLAs

Pilot said, "In-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa ji is a serious and sensible person. Randhawa is giving all the other reports. So he should also report that there are many allegations against our ministers and MLAs which may hurt the image of the party and the government. It should be conveyed to Kharge sahib and AICC leaders so that action can be taken. It is true that the incident that took place on September 25 was an open defiance of Congress President Sonia Gandhi's orders. Kharge and Maken Sahab have been insulted openly. Why hasn't action been taken yet? This is the question, the answer to this is with the party."

Talking about his meetings with senior party leaders in Delhi after his fast, Sachin said that he had met with Kamal Nath and Venugopal and told them about the background of the fast. I have given my suggestions about the direction of the party in future and what we can do because we have the ability to smoke out the BJP,’ said Pilot.
