Heat wave will remain abated
Heat wave will remain abated for the rest of April from large parts of the country. In view of widespread weather activity, the otherwise oppressive month of May will make a soft beginning. The 1st week is expected to offer pleasing conditions, including over the hottest pockets of the country.
Rainfall activity in Kerala
The state of Kerala is all set to see some rainfall activity in the coming days. Rainfall activity may begin today itself but the main activity is expected to begin tomorrow.
The reason for these rains is attributed to the trough extending from central parts down south. A Cyclonic Circulation is also over southern parts of Tamil Nadu. Due to the proximity of these systems to the state, one can expect rain over these areas.
The rainfall activity over Kerala is not expected to be widespread as such but heavy spells over isolated pockets can be expected, which will be starting today and last until April 29.
Prolonged rainy spell in Delhi-NCR from 27 April
We can expect clear days ahead for the next three days for Delhi and the NCR region. All parts of Delhi are seeing six to seven degrees below normal levels including Safdarjung, Palam, Ridge, Lodhi Road etc. There may be a slight rise in temperatures for two to three days and maximums may be around 37 and 38 degrees.
Thereafter, a prolonged rainy spell is expected starting April 27 over parts of North India including Delhi and the NCR. In fact, these rainfall activities will ensure that temperatures witness a drop again soon. You can expect a few moderate spells of rains in between.
