Karnataka Election 2023: Campaigning In Decisive Phase; Sonia Gandhi-Rahul To Jointly Address Rally Today; BJP Leaving No Stone Unturned To Capitalize On Bajrang Dal Issue

Hubli: Campaigning has entered its decisive and final stages in Karnataka and both parties are going all out to ensure victory. Both the main parties Congress and BJP are trying to utilize the last few days to turn the table on each other.

Former Congress President Sonia Gandhi and party leader Rahul Gandhi will jointly hold an election rally here today on Saturday.

Outgoing MLA from Hubli-Dharwad East constituency Prasad Abbia gave this information. Addressing a press conference here today, he said that this is the first time that Mrs. Sonia and Mr. Rahul are holding an election rally together in Karnataka. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) working president Salim Ahmed will also be present in the meeting.

Sonia will address rally after 4 years

Why did Mrs. Sonia, who participated in an election rally after a gap of almost four years, prefer to campaign in Hubli? Responding to this question, Congress Secretary Vishnu Nath said that she would like to help Congress candidates win not only in Hubli-Dharwad, but also ensure the victory of party candidates in the entire North Karnataka region.

On the issue of Mr. Jagadish Shettar, he said that the Congress is not worried, but the BJP is nervous as the Congress is going to win 150 seats. The BJP has made its state general secretary Mahesh Tenginkai  its candidate. Over 25,000 people are expected to participate in the rally to be held at the Youngsters Sports Ground on Mantur Road in the Hubli-Dharwad East constituency.

Cong has started objecting even to saying Jai Bajrangbali

On the other hand the BJP is constantly attacking the Congress for the promise made by it to ban the Bajrang Dal. The BJP is leaving no stone unturned to capitalize on this issue.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday attacked the Congress party at an election rally in Tumkur, Karnataka, accusing it of doing politics of appeasement, and said that now the Congress has started objecting even to saying Jai Bajrangbali.
