Rajasthan: Finally There Will be Patch Up Between Ashok Gehlot And Sachin Pilot; Kharge says We Will Contest Election Unitedly

New Delhi: The Congress has said that Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and party leader Sachin Pilot will fight the upcoming assembly elections in the state unitedly.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge held a meeting in this regard with Gehlot and Pilot in the presence of top party leaders Rahul Gandhi and KC Venugopal Monday evening.

Venugopal told reporters after the meeting that Kharge and Rahul Gandhi had a detailed discussion of four hours with Gehlot ji and Pilot ji. We have decided to fight the elections unitedly.

They both agree, we have to go together. It will be a joint fight against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). We will win in Rajasthan.

The Congress has been continuously trying for patch up between Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and former deputy CM Sachin Pilot, the two biggest leaders of the state in Rajasthan.

KC Venugopal  tweeted after the meeting

A tweet from Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal has indicated that the reconciliation efforts have been successful.

He tweeted: "Our team in Rajasthan will unitedly fight the 2023 elections and break the decades-long tradition of alternating governments by registering a thumping victory."

This tweet from KC Venugopal gives clear hint that there has been a reconciliation between Sachin Pilot and CM Ashok Gehlot. On Monday the meeting went on for four hours at the residence of Mallikarjun Kharge. During this meeting, Ashok Gehlot, Sachin Pilot, Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge and Rajasthan Congress Incharge Sukhwinder Singh Randhawa were also present.

Assembly elections are to be held in Rajasthan by the end of this year. Many analysts are of the opinion that if the estrangement between the two leaders is not resolved, then the Congress may be at a loss.

After winning in Karnataka, the Congress is eyeing Rajasthan. This is a big state, where there is a Congress government. Rajasthan is also an important state in terms of Lok Sabha seats.
