UP News: Mayawati Not Happy With BJP's Clean Sweep In Civic Elections, Made A Big Allegation

Lucknow: Former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and BSP supremo Mayawati is not happy at BJP's victory in UP civic polls. Mayawati has said that we all know the way the BJP has won the civic elections here. The BSP supremo said that the BJP won is not good for democracy.

Mayawati said we are not going to sit silent

BSP supremo Mayawati warned the Bharatiya Janata Party that we are not going to sit silent. In the coming days, Bahujan Samaj Party will face BJP with full power. She said the way BJP has misused the government machinery is worrying for democracy. Reacting to the results of the UP civic elections, Mayawati has launched a direct attack on the BJP. She said that the government machinery was misused during the elections and the BSP would no longer remain silent on this.

Allegations of misuse of government machinery

Mayawati expressed gratitude to the people for trusting BSP and voting for the party candidates in the face of all adverse circumstances. Had this election also been free and fair, the picture of the results would have been different. Had the elections been held through ballot paper, the BSP would have definitely won the mayoral election as well.

Opposition ousted

Where the Bharatiya Janata Party has won a bumper victory in the civic elections in UP and by defeating the opposition parties, it has ousted the opposition in the mayoral elections. The BJP has won all the 17 mayor seats. BJP is very happy with this victory. And everywhere BJP workers are celebrating.

On the other hand leaders of the opposition parties have accused the BJP government of the state of rigging.

SP also targeted

Apart from the BJP, former CM Mayawati has also targeted the Samajwadi Party. She said that whenever BJP or SP is in power, they misuse government machinery in elections. This is the reason why ruling parties win most of the civic elections and not much attention is paid to the demands of opposition parties.
