Rajasthan: Jan Sangharsh Yatra To End On 15 May; What Is Sachin Pilot Next Plan?

Jaipur: Congress leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot is taking out a 'Jan Sangharsh' yatra against his own party's government.  A convoy of thousands of people is also going along with them. Today i.e. 14th May is the fourth day of this yatra. Starting from Ajmer, this 125 kilometer walk will culminate in Jaipur on Monday 15th May. As this journey of Sachin Pilot is reaching its final destination, the discussion about his next step has started.

While the enthusiasm of the Congress has increased after the Karnataka Assembly Elections, the developments in Rajasthan are a source of grave anxiety. The dispute between Pilot and Gehlot is well known. In such a situation, while Gehlot is claiming to repeat the government in Rajasthan, the Congress is also likely to suffer huge loss due to ongoing rebellious attitude of Pilot.

In Karnataka people trusted our campaign against corrupt govt: Pilot

Talking to reporters during the Yatra Pilot said in Karnataka people believed in our campaigning against the corrupt BJP government.

He said, "Now that we have been voted to power there, we will have to address these issues. I have been demanding the same in Rajasthan for the last four years. For some reason, there has been no action against corruption. I don't know what reason."

Rahul Gandhi took to streets against corruption of BJP govt: Pilot

Pilot said Rahul Gandhi had to take to the streets against the corruption of the BJP government at the Centre. He said similarly in Rajasthan, he (Pilot) had to take to the streets due to the scams worth crores of rupees in the former Vasundhara Raje government. Pilot said that his Jan Sangharsh Yatra is not against the Congress but in support of the fundamental issues of the people.

My name is being associated with different political parties: Pilot

Talking to the media during Jan Sangharsh Yatra, Sachin Pilot said time and again his name is being associated with different political parties including Aam Aadmi Party, RLP, among others. Sometimes speculations are made that I will form a new party.

Pilot, however, has ruled out leaving Congress  He said that he will remain in Congress. He said that in a democracy, when the government does not listen to the public, then the people are forced to come out on the streets.

Pilot rules out any hidden agenda

Pilot said that he doesn't have any hidden agenda. Whatever he says, he says in front of everyone. He said he had never done politics of lies and deception during his 25 year old political career.

Sachin Pilot said that he will raise issues of public interest on every front. If he sees cheating with the public, he will not hesitate to speak against his party.  He said that the youths of the state are being cheated continuously. Papers of competitive examinations are being leaked one after the other. RPSC members have also been caught for selling papers. Despite this, the government is sitting silent.
