Bhopal: A meeting of Madhya Pradesh cabinet was held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Many major decisions were taken in the meeting like opening of 6 new medical colleges, transfer of employees and reducing the price of one thali (plate) provided under Deendayal Rasoi Yojana to Rs.5. State Home Minister Narottam Mishra informed about all the decisions.
The Home Minister told that in the Cabinet meeting, the proposal was made to change the name of Pandit Deendayal Rasoi Yojana as 'Mama ki Thali', but this proposal was rejected outright.
Mishra said that so far 01 crore 62 lakh thalis have been distributed. Under the scheme, in addition to the 100 kitchen centers established earlier, 20 new permanent kitchen centers and 25 new mobile kitchen centers in 16 municipal corporations and Pithampur and Mandideep would be set up. Thus, the decision has been taken by the Council of Ministers to open a total of 45 new kitchen centers and provide food in the kitchen at the rate of only Rs 5 per person. Currently the thali is available for Rs 10.
6 new medical colleges to be set up
The Cabinet has given in-principle consent for setting up new medical colleges with admission capacity of 100 MBBS seats in Khargone, Dhar, Bhind, Balaghat, Tikamgarh and Sidhi districts. With the establishment of the medical college, not only will tertiary level medical facilities be made available to the people of the region, as well as 600 MBBS seats will be increased for the students of the state. There will be an increase in seats. Along with this, the government has also extended the date of transfer of government employees. Now the last date for transfers of employees is July 7, which was earlier fixed on June 30.
33 new CM Rise Schools to be constructed
The Cabinet approved the construction of 33 well-equipped schools at an estimated cost of Rs 1335 crore 20 lakh in the state. As many as 275 schools are being developed by the School Education Department in the first phase under the CM Rise scheme in the state. Out of these, DPRs were prepared for the construction of 33 schools and presented before the Project Testing Committee on March 20, 2023.
BJP will celebrate Vikas Parv
State Home Minister Mishra told that Vikas Parv will be organized in Madhya Pradesh from July 15 to August 15. During this festival, all the MLAs, MPs, Ministers will inaugurate the works in the entire state and will lay the foundation stone of the approved works of the state government. In the cabinet meeting, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan congratulated the Council of Ministers for the National Award in Micro Irrigation and thanked Prime Minister Modi.
