Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and his wife participated in the Maha Aarti of Maa Narmada on Tuesday evening at Gwarighat, which is located at the banks of the holy Maa Narmada in Sanskardhani Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. He was overwhelmed by the grandeur of the aarti. Along with him, Governor Mangubhai Patel also participated in the Aarti of Maa Narmada.

Dhankhar is currently on a 2-day visit to Madhya Pradesh. On Wednesday he will participate in national level Yoga Day programme in Jabalpur. On 9th International Yoga Day, on June 21, a national level programme will be held at the Garrison Ground in Jabalpur. Vice President Dhankhar will be the chief guest in the programme to be held from 6 am.

Vice President Dhankhar performed Swasti-Vachan, Har-Har Narmade, worshiped Maa Narmada and performed aarti as per rituals for the prosperity of the country in the presence of priests amidst Maa Narmada ki Jai and echoes of verses of Narmadashtakam.

Meanwhile, 12-year-old Ladli Lakshmi Tejaswini Dubey administered an oath to everyone to keep Maa Narmada clean and tidy. The Vice President worshiped the idol of Maa Narmada and bowed his head.

Every nook and corner of the sacred Gwarighat was decorated with rangolis made of flowers and colours and lit up with lamps.

Dhankhar enchanted by beauty of Dhunadhar Falls

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and his wife Dr. Sudesh Dhankhar gazed at the amazing beauty of Dhunadhar Falls at Bhedaghat. Governor Mangubhai Patel was also present. Vice President Dhankhar was delighted with the natural beauty of this scenic spot situated at Maa Narmada and praised it. He compared the cascading waterfall between the marble rocks to Niagara Falls.

In Bhedaghat, when the immense water body of the Narmada river falls from a height, it looks like smoke, hence it is called Dhuandhar. The Narmada Mahotsav that is held here every year has a distinct identity.
