Madhya Pradesh: Why Shivraj government is forming so many welfare boards in election year



Bhopal: In Madhya Pradesh, more than half a dozen welfare boards have been formed in the election year. State CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan is participating in the programmes of different societies from divisional to state level. 


Meanwhile, CM Chouhan is also announcing formation of the welfare boards of various societies and giving ministerial status to their presidents. So far, CM Shivraj has announced more than half a dozen welfare boards.


Pal Baghel Dhangar Samaj formed in Gwalior


The welfare board of Pal Baghel Dhangar Samaj was formed in Gwalior and named after Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar. It was announced that at the same time the chairman of the board would be made from the community itself. He will also get the status of cabinet minister. 


Not only the BJP, but the Congress too seems to be trying its level best during the election year. While the BJP is reaching out to various societies and forming their welfare boards adopting the formula of social engineering, the Congress is also focusing on this. Not only this, the Congress has also announced to form various social welfare boards as soon as it comes to the government.


BJP working to break castes to break society: Shukla


The Congress has made serious allegations against this move of the BJP. Congress State Vice President Balendu Shukla alleges that BJP is working to break the castes to break the society. But the people of Madhya Pradesh will not get trapped in these false promises of the BJP government. 


On the other hand, BJP leader Kamal Makhijani alleges that the only goal of BJP is everyone's support, everyone's development. Keeping in mind the basic objective of Antyodaya, BJP is resolved for the welfare of all the societies.


Population of Tailik community is 50 lakhs


With the formation of Telghani Board, the BJP government made an effort to woo 50 lakh voters of Telik community. It has also been announced that Narvargarh, the pilgrimage site of Maa Karma, and Telia Talab of Mandsaur will be developed.


Soni Samaj has a population of 27 lakhs


Keeping an eye on the population of 27 lakh Soni society, the BJP government has formed the Swarnakala Board. Soni Samaj is considered to have a significant influenc in Shamshabad in Vidisha district, Jabalpur in Panna district, Powai in Panna district and Maihar in Satna district besides Amarpatan assembly constituency.


Vishwakarma Samaj has a population of 45 lakhs


Vishwakarma Welfare Board has been constituted in MP. This community was with BJP in MP in 2013.  In 2018, the Congress made a dent in this vote bank and formed the government. In such a situation, the BJP's Shivraj government declared an optional holiday in the state on the birth anniversary of Lord Vishwakarma. He also announced plans to be made for the welfare of the Vishwakarma society.


Rajak community population 35 lakh


The Rajak Welfare Board was formed by the Shivraj government. The government is keeping an eye on the population of 35 lakhs of the Rajak community. Rajak community has population from 2 to 10 thousand in all assembly constituencies of Madhya Pradesh. Along with Bhopal, the people of Rajak community come under the Scheduled Caste in Sehore and Raisen. On the other hand, in other districts, the people of this class have been kept in the Other Backward Classes.


Govt does not want to repeat the previous mistake


In 2018, the BJP government made a mistake which it does not want to repeat now. Before the 2018 elections, the Congress was able to woo various societies in MP and formed the government. Representatives of Yadav, Tailik, Dawoodi Bohra, Buddhist, Meena, Gurjar, Patidar, Banjara, Koli, Swarnakar, Balai, Kushwaha, Chaurasia, Jat, Kumawat, Dhanuk, Vanshkar, Tamboli Barai, Dhangar and Dangi communities have met former CM Kamal Nath.
